Of course,I hadn't cheated,so I wasn't going to confess.But I cannot afford to get a zero,too.
The next day, things got (6)evenven stranger. One of my classmates told me she heard the whole test situation was a hoax(騙局).I asked a teacher and she said it was (7)truerue.
She said the hoax was to let us know something we had been learning about in history. That week we were studying the Salem witch trails(塞勒姆女巫審判案).It was a period when many innocent(無辜的) Americans were thought to be witches, and forced to confess to crimes(罪行) they didn't do.She said my history teacher wanted us to (8)learnearn what that felt like.
I didn't know how to feel that (9)momentoment.I didn't know whether to feel relieved(釋然的), (10)angryngry,confused(困惑) or betrayed(被背叛的).Were my teacher's actions acceptable because she wanted us to learn how accused "witches" felt in early American history?Should I be as upset as I am,or am I overreacting(反應(yīng)過度)?
