試題詳情
The temperature is dropping quickly in China, but Australians are feeling the heat.
Summer is coming and it officially begins on Dec.1.
Cricket (板球) is Australia's most popular summer sport. It is so popular that many people say summer does not start until Australians play their first cricket game of the season.Pit is known as the "Summer of Cricket".Most Australians will watch games on TV,listen to the commentary(評論)on the radio or play games themselves.
Many even go to the stadium and watch games live(在現(xiàn)場).They dress in green and gold and paint their faces to support the Australian team.
Two teams of 11 people play each other. They take turns at hitting a leather(皮制的)ball with a wooden bat.The batsmen(擊球手)hit the ball to score runs(攻方得分).The team that scores the most runs wins.
Some of Australia's biggest celebrities are cricket players.Their sport is extremely popular in other countries like the UK,India,South Africa and Sri Lanka.
Men,women, boys and girls watch cricket.Traditionally it is a sport for men,but recently women's cricket has become popular and there are now professional female cricketers too.
"The first day of the 'Summer of Cricket' is one of the best days of the year," cricket player and fan Sean Prior said."When I'm at work I always have the radio on listening to the game.Cricket is a big part of my life."
