  • 1.How to save money to visit Shanghai Disneyland? The "happiest place on earth" is a top destination on many families' bucket lists. But taking a vacation to Disney World can be difficult to do on a budget. There are some considerations that you can make to reduce the cost of your Disney World vacation.
       1.Buy Souvenirs in Advance
Disney has influenced practically every industry, which makes it easy to find Disney items anywhere, from Wal-Mart,Target,and your local grocery store to department stores and Amazon. You can save a lot of money by purchasing items before your trip at these less-expensive places than at Disneyland.
       2.Make an Autograph Book
An autograph book is seen as a must-have by many Disneyland enthusiasts and is a memory you can take home with you. These books can cost anywhere from $7.95 to $19.95 at the Disney Store and up to $30 for the latest-and-greatest autograph book at Disneyland, such as the park's 60th anniversary edition.Other choices can get the job done for under $5.For example, you can buy a small photo album;cute pads or notebooks.
       3.Eat Breakfast Before You Arrive
Breakfast is almost as pricey as lunch or dinner if you eat inside the Disneyland parks. If you have a hotel with a free breakfast, take advantage of it.If you want to eat out,eat at a local restaurant that is inexpensive or has a kids' menu, such as McDonald's which is close to the park.
4.Take Advantage of Discounts Offered to Special Groups

  • 2.Life can bring us down from time to time.At some point, you may find yourself in what you will consider as your darkest hour.As you try to find your way out of that bad situation, you should try to remind yourself that there is still a reason to be grateful.
If you look at your situation now and compare it with someone else who is in much deeper trouble than you,I am sure that you'll find something to be thankful for.We all have our share of problems. But complaining about them so much only makes us blind about the fact that there are the miracles that happen around us every day.
When all your needs are provided, then you should be content and happy. If you have a roof over your head, some decent(得體的) clothes to wear, enough food on the table,a comfortable place to sleep, clean water to drink and you are free to make your own choices, then you should be happy and grateful. Many people all around the world, especially those who are at war or those in very poor countries would give anything to be in your conditions.
Even if you lose all your money or possessions and your heart is broken for some reason,as long as you are still alive, then everything material you have lost can be regained. If you have a few good friends who will be there to support or help you, then be glad because true friends are hard to find.As long as you have someone to love and someone to love you back, then you are a very fortunate person.Remember to be patient and trust that things will get better.

(1)What's the author's advice for those people faced with difficulties?

A.They should believe in miracles to happen.
B.They should take a grateful attitude to life.
C.They should have confidence in themselves.
D.They should remind themselves to keep calm.
(2)According to the author, complaints about our sufferings only result in
    .
    A.being teased by others
    B.taking everything for granted
    C.having doubts about self-value
D.ignoring the good things in life
(3)What can we infer from Paragraph 3?

A.People should try to make a difference.
B.People should be satisfied with what they have.
C.People should work hard to gain what they want.
D.People should practise kindness to those in need.
(4)What does the author intend to tell us?

A.It's not so easy to make a living.
B.It's important to have faith in life.
C.Show appreciation of what we have.
    D.Never compare ourselves with others.

  • 3.Edmund Halley was an English scientist who lived over 200 years ago.He studied the observations of comets(彗星) which other scientists had made. The orbit of one particular comet was a very difficult mathematical problem. He could not figure it out.Neither could other scientists who dealt with such problems.
However,Halley had a friend named Newton, who was a brilliant mathematician.Newton thought he had already worked out that problem, but he could not find the papers on which he had done it.He told Halley that the orbit of a comet had the.shape of an ellipse(橢圓).
Now Halley set to work.He figured out the orbits of some of the comets that had been observed by scientists. He made a surprising discovery. The comets that had appeared in the years 1531,1607,and 1682 all had the same orbit.Yet their appearances had been 75 to 76 years apart.
This seemed very strange to Halley. The different comets followed the same orbit. The more Halley thought about it,the more he thought that there had not been three different comets,as people thought. He decided that they had simply seen the same comet three times. The comet had gone away and had come back again.
It was an astonishing idea!Halley felt certain enough to make a prediction(預言) of what the comet would happen in the future. He decided that this comet would appear in the year 1758.There were 53 years to go before Halley's prediction could be tested. In 1758 the comet appeared in the sky.Halley did not see it.for he has died some years before.Ever since then that comet has been called Halley's comet,in his honour.

    .
    A.1704
    B.1705
    C.1706
    D.1707
(3)This passage in general is about

"There are two things I want to tell you," he said. "One is never to judge a book through its cover. The other is to learn how to read.Wisdom is the only thing that will never be taking away from you."
